Wonderful though a long holiday is , after a while the novelty of another new room and eating out begins to lose its attraction. This is why in addition to the very warm welcome, excellent and generous hospitality and spectacular views, it is the seemingly little things like being able to hang out washing on the line, and coming back from a trip to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of beautiful homemade cake which have meant so much. This has been our most relaxing home from home.

Thank you both for a fabulous 3 nights at your B&B. I love your special breakfasts with wonderful muffins each morning, but especially loved the feeling you created here - everyone feels at home! Thanks from the bottom of our heart for all the "extras" you added - great conversation, recommendations for hikes, and sending us off on our journey with clean clothes.

Thank you so much for your hospitality. This is a very beautiful home and you are so nice and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was excellent, especially the large variety of fresh fruits which we really appreciate. We loved your backyard and had fun star gazing last night. We don't easily get to see the night sky and in particular the Milky way. It was fantastic and amazing to us. Thank you again for your kindness. This is definitely a home away from home to recommend to my friends.

I can't believe a B&B can be this good. This place is stylish yet cosy. Amazing bathroom. Nice view and wonderful hosts. Above all - superb hospitality. Thank you

Quietly situated a 5-minute drive from the town with lake views from your terrace. The room has everything you need with no noise from adjoining rooms. The room got a bot hot during the day but cooled down OK in the evening. Very helpful and friendly host. Free cakes and drinks (including wine) each day. Freshly cooked breakfast around a large table shared with others. Really enjoyed our two-night stay during our New Zealand tour.

Very cute home with nice cozy furniture that makes you fee at home. Fantastic view from the back lawn with its own terrace and flowers. Breakfast was delicious and Hannah very welcoming and helpful regarding activities and restaurant choices. The stay was very enjoyable. Only wish we had stayed longer.

I cannot say enough good things about my stay at this property. Hannah, the proprietor, is the epitome of charm and hospitality. Beautiful room with gorgeous views of the mountains and Lake Te Anau, and truly gourmet breakfast. The whole place exudes personalized warmth and charm. High, high recommend.

Very comfortable and friendly. We stayed here just after Christmas and enjoyed the beautiful quiet location. It is just enough away from the main drag to offer a very comfortable stay and yet not too far away, so its easy to zip in for a meal. The people are friendly, the bed luxurious, and the location is perfect. We would stay here again on our next trip to this part of New Zealand.

Superb B&B in an excellent location. We stayed 2 nights in Hannah's beautiful home in Feb 2020. It really was the best accommodation we had during our 5 week visit of NZ, which included 5 * hotels. Hannah was a most hospitable host and catered for our every need. She had thought of everything a traveller would need, including home made cakes, biscuits and a great selection of drinks. We stayed in the end room which was dual aspect and had a spa bath. Dunluce was immaculately clean and the breakfasts were excellent. The views from the terrace were superb. We will certainly try to return on our next visit

Delightful peaceful stay This is a charming B&B with amazing views, so peaceful. Spotlessly clean and Hannah is a wonderful hostess. Delicious Breakfast and lovely fruit muffins to come back to after along day at Doubtful Sound. She even did some washing for us, which was very kind. There are Menus from some of the local Restaurants so that you can decide where to go for supper in advance. Taxis home are easy and cheap. Thank you for a very special stay

Welcoming, peaceful, views - everything we needed done exceptionally well. Hannah was a great hostess and put a lot of time and effort into making every guests stay special. There was a dining room and patio that guests could use, with tea/coffee making facilities, a fridge and various free snacks/drinks for the guests. Breakfast was lovely. Hannah listened to what each guest was thinking of doing, and came back with ideas, routes, tips etc to make each day more special. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Thanks Hannah

Such a fabulous place My husband and I were lucky enough to spend a couple of nights at Dunluce. It was so beautiful - Hannah was a fantastic host, our room was spotlessly clean with amazing view of the lake and mountains, breakfast was spot on! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely superb. Without doubt the nicest, bed and breakfast I have had the pleasure of staying in. Beautifully decorated throughout, never have I been made to feel so welcome. Hannah goes out of way to make your stay as pleasant as possible, I was literally in awe when I saw my accommodation, it also has a lovely relaxing atmosphere.

Fabulous overnight stay. We stayed here before going out on Doubtful Sound. What a beautiful place and fantastic host. We couldn’t have been more comfortable with a delightful room, fabulous views and warm hospitality. A delicious home cooked breakfast was made for us and so much thought had gone into every little detail. Hannah is an excellent hostess and provided us with excellent information about the area. Highly recommended.

Wow! So nice after our hike! We booked this place when the other fancy lodging we booked pre-hike didn’t have space for us afterwards. Wow. Dunluce was a much more comfortable place to land! The room was lovely, spacious and comfortable, had beautiful views, and was spotlessly clean. Hannah had snacks, fruit, and drinks available all day. Hannah was so sweet offering to do a load of laundry as it had rained during our hike and perhaps we arrived smelling like we had been wearing the same clothes for a few days! When the Milford and Routeburn tracks were cancelled due to trail and road damage, she also helped us explore alternative ideas with our freed up time. We ended up having an absolutely wonderful time by renting a car and exploring the scenic southern route. If we ever come back to Te Anau to complete those great walks, we will look no further than Dunluce. Book it. You won’t regret it.

Delightful We enjoyed everything about our stay here - the beautiful view from our room, the warm welcome from Hannah, the delicious breakfasts and home baked treats. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows were comfy with good linens. Super shower room too. This was one of our favourite stays during our trip to NZ

Great location, even better host. We only stayed one night here and soon wished we had been able to stay longer. The rooms are in a separate wing from the owners, Hannah, own part of this lovely property. All rooms look out over expansive grassland to the lake and the mountains ,,, at least the following morning when the storms complete with earthquake level thunder and amazing lightning

We were thoroughly spoilt by our warm and engaging host, Hannah, who took the time to sit down, have a cup of coffee and chat with us about life and experiences. Great location with views across lake Te Anau and within a lovely 15 min stroll distance along the picturesque lake foreshore to the town centre. Exceptional accomodation, I would highly recommend this to any couple. Staying with us were couples from Belgium and the USA, so the breakfast conversation was lively and entertaining. Thanks again Hannah, Anne & Bruce

Lovely lovely stay!! Dunluce is a very comfortable and well appointed purpose build B&B a 3 minute drive from the centre of Te Anau. It offers the best of both worlds; easy if you want the bustle of a tourist town and perfect for the peace and quiet of a lake view retreat. Hannah, the host, does such a great job. She is unobtrusive yet available with great advice when you need her and she clearly delights in running her business. Breakfast was delicious and Hannah greeted us with her warm smile each day. The little extras in the guest dining room were a lovely touch You are doing such a great job Hannah well done

This was my third and longest visit to this delightful purpose built property on the outskirts of Te Anau. The previous hosts after a short period of ownership have moved to Christchurch and Hannah Gray has taken over the reins. For anyone reading the reviews in recent years I can say that the property in every regard offers exactly the same benefits as it did with Wendy and Roger and Phillipa and Marc. Hannah is her own person and offers her own version of Kiwi hospitality. She has the knack of making everyone feel special and unique and like all good purveyors of hospitality she has great intuition but even more importantly applies it. Most importantly she communicates joy in what she is doing. All the little treats of yesteryear are in place and the breakfast I ate from the menu was superb. As her family are local she also has an excellent understanding of the benefits of the area. It goes without saying it continues to be run well with excellent support staff who keep the place immaculate. As a solo organiser I also happen to believe that your dollar goes further here than just about any other location in Te Anau and those who have seen quick succession have nothing to be concerned about. It is business as usual. If I would make one plea try and organise itineraries which give Te Anau more of a chance to show what it can yield which is quiet different to say Queenstown and might be more suited to the kind of clientele that visit Dunluce. Serenity, peace, a myriad of walks, from the easy to the challenging, great eateries and a night at the cinema as well as the ubiquitous Caves and Sounds (Milford and Doubtful)

First class B&B We thought we were turning up to some random B&B, but this place is superb. It’s immaculately clean throughout and the room was luxurious. Best of all though were the views, which take in the lake and mountains. Just lie in bed and take it all in! Breakfast was yummy too!

Best Breakfast in South Island! Hannah, our host at Dunluce, was welcoming and gracious. Fabulous breakfasts and homemade treats in the afternoon. The rooms were large. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. Spectacular view of lake from rooms. Very quiet, but convenient to restaurants. Finest B&B we stayed at in New Zealand

Stunning views, fabulous hosts and comfy room! I was lucky enough to plan my stay at Dunluce in October 2018 with Hannah. She was excellent with all communication with me throughout organizing my stay there prior to arrival and upon arrival she had the warmest and friendliest greeting! She let me know about the local walking trails - which I really appreciated as it is something I really enjoy doing and to have a stunning (and easy) lakefront stroll accessible by foot from Dunluce's front door was heaven to me walking along the lakefront and soaking up that magic view of Lake Te Anau. I also really liked that the rooms had a book with further hikes and walks that you can do in the area, catering to all levels and that they can even loan you a spare of that book when you do head out on the trails. Super cool!! The room was warm and had such a comfy bed and waking up to that breathtaking view was so special and something I will never forget. The breakfast was super delish and was icing on an already amazing stay. The only thing was that I wish I could have stayed for longer! Thankyou Hannah

Absolutely special. Had a night here on my October travels and it was just spectacular. The service was wonderful (as was breakfast). The views are just incredible. Certainly not a single complaint to be made - all excellent.

What a hidden gem We spent 2 nights here with fantastic hospitality from Hannah. When we drove on B&B driveway at first, we felt like coming home. With surrounding landscape and spectacular lake and farm view, a lovely place like this must be a hidden gem. Very cozy room with comfortable bed and sufficient amenities. In lavender season, you also can smell its fragrance around this place. Additionally, daily delicious boutique breakfast from Hannah absolutely is one of the very best I ever had. Thanks for welcoming. We can’t wait to come back again.

This small B&B was the perfect place to stay: warm host, private rooms, gorgeous modern home, postcard view, delicious snacks and the best breakfast spread. The host was so kind and generous; we just came off a big hike and she went above and beyond to help us wash our gear. This is by far the best place we've stayed in New Zealand. Highly recommended!!

The rooms are really lovely with Mountain View’s and nice sunrises. Hannah cooks a delicious breakfast and provides a very personal experience. Everything is done well- from the natural shampoos organic teas scented candles and interesting books. The rooms are warm and tastefully decorated. Highly recommended

My husband and I stayed at Dunluce for two, non consecutive nights - went on an overnight cruise of the Doubtful Sound in between - and we cannot wait to come back. The property is gorgeous and our room was decorated with an appealing NZ flair, as is the entire b&b... and super clean! Each room has a private patio with lavender flowers and views of the lake. Breakfast is served to your liking and Hannah, the hostess, could not be more welcoming with great ideas for the area. Highly recommend Dunluce!

If you want to stay in a boutique B & B give this one a try. The whole place is immaculate throughout. Rooms are very exquisite and have the most amazing view of the mountains and water. Hannah is a lovely host and makes lovely cakes and an excellent breakfast.

If you're needing accommodation while in Fiordland, this is the spot! Hannah is such a lovely host, who made us feel right at home. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and beautiful. The incredible lake views were a bonus! Would not hesitate to recommend.

Stayed for 5 nights package. Very happy with the entire experience, Hannah couldn't have been more accommodating and the room was spacious and comfortable. The little extra touches set Dunluce apart from the norm & made the whole experience very enjoyable.

Lovely B&B. Private quiet and really well equipped. I am not a B&B person but if they were all like this it would be great. Hannah was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. A lovely stay. Thankyou.

Staying at Dunluce accommodation was so lovely. Hannah is extremely kind and thoughtful and obviously pays attention to detail, as there are many small things that have been added to make your stay as welcoming. The room and bathroom are good sizes and the bed is super comfy. It is very clean place to stay, beautiful lake view. Is only a 2 minutes drive from the center of Te Anau. I'd love to stay again sometimes and 100% recommend staying here, beyond excellent. Take care, thank you for the lovely stay Hannah
