About UsWe, your hosts Wendy and Roger, will make every effort to make your stay with us enjoyable and relaxing.
Roger works as a secondary teacher and has a keen interest in golf. He enjoys landscaping and maintaining our one and a half acre garden. He has a long term project of restoring a vintage Austin 7. Roger is a senior officer in the Fiordland Volunteer Fire Service. Wendy is an ex teacher who has worked for the last 14 years in the hospitality industry, and is now running the Bed and Breakfast. She enjoys gardening, walking and is a keen cook. We have 3 adult daughters who all now live in the North Island. We are currently undertaking an extensive course in Maori language. We have walked many of the major tracks in Fiordland, and numerous shorter bush walks, so are happy to give informed advice. We are committed to sustainable tourism. We have an unobtrusive cat who is rather shy of people and doesn't venture into the guest wing.

We were both born in New Zealand, and have lived in Te Anau for over 35 years. We enjoy life in this small community, and the spectacular environment of mountains, beech forest, rivers and lakes.
